MyCube Cafe @ Lygon

Weather: Crouching Winds Hidden Chills

Four sad people with one game in one shop at one road.

Lygon Street, MyCube Cafe, Curses, Ethel, Prem, Stephanie and myself. On the verge of losing our sanity.
Mycube Cafe @ Lygon Street

I was bored like shit and have nothing else better to do, so I contacted Stephanie and she organized this hang-out at this board-gaming shop just two doors next to Il Dulce Freddo.

Here's the gist. You get into the shop, you order either a drink, a snack or a meal. Then, top it up with a board game of your choice. Different prices for different packages too. And the games are available to you for two hours.

The price we paid tonight wasn't exactly pricey. All of us got the One Drink + Games package which ripped out $8.50 from our pockets.

My sumptious cup of Hot Milk Tea a.k.a. Teh Tarik

So we were flipping through the boardgames menu and I chanced upon THIS!

Curses

So here is the idea of the game. Each player is given a challenge card in which they have to carry out what is written on it, and a curse card which contains conditions which players have to meet while doing anything involved with the condition. The outcome of it - Hilarious.

Us setting up the table as though we know what to do

Stephanie got this card which tells her to 'scream and faint' each time someone rings the bell. Well, we abused the bell, obviously, and in turn, her. We're amazing people to hang out with.

Prem acting cool. He is THE MAN!

What do we have here? Two idiots trying to act cute, which of course, failed miserably

We left at 10.40. Having not thoroughly enjoyed the game due to the lack of number of players. However, it was an interesting experience. I like this quote from the menu though.

"Life's like a game: you're dealt a hand you can't choose and you never know how the dice will roll. Still, life's like a game. So play."
