Because that is what dreams are made of...

As my days in Malaysia edge towards an end, my heart grows ever in refusal to leave the things I have grown accustomed to behind again.

The frequent Karaoke sessions at Redbox with my ten-year bestie, the frequent chill-outs at Mamak stalls with the bunch of idiots. All that, I will miss.

Because I am departing to a place, where I shall be reunited with the friends that had given me nothing short of immense moral support and companionship during my stay in a far away land.

However, what the ones in Melbourne can never give me, is the feeling that I am at home. The feeling that I will not be judged, or more like, I am already judged to the point where I don't give a damn. Because friends from Melbourne are still somewhat reserved when it comes to our opinions. Friends in Melbourne want to be the best they can to you.

My friends here? They are just who they are. We love each other for who we are, although we hate to admit it. We are sarcastic to each other, criticizing each other as though there's no tomorrow. We can crack jokes that all of us would understand.

Most of all, we are always there for each other. For example, I would always be able to find out someone to hang out with me at any given time of the day. And they would always ask me how am I faring at home? Whether I have rotten to the point of unrecognizable by others.

I will miss them. I will miss their laughters. I will miss their smiles. Heck, I will miss just being able to see them. Because these people grew up with me, and had gone through all sorts of thick and thin. These people, are the ones who aren't afraid to bombard me with unkind words, because they know full well that our friendship has evolved to a level, where I can take it.

We would just shrug off any uncomfortable feelings, just like how we shrug off all the problems that had ever occured to us. We know, we will talk to each other forever as long as no one gets abused by the other like Rihanna and Chris Brown's case.

Yik Yeen, Richie, Yong Shen, Ming Hui, Jia Chyi, Yew Wai, Yu Jia. Be assured, you are missed.

I know you won't read this anyway, so I can be mushy here.

Anyway, I look forward to seeing all of you again during July. Remember, *cough* my birthday* cough*.

Yik Yeen, you idiot. I love you as much as I hate you. You will be dearly missed. Coz you are just plain annoying, yet you are the only person who's annoying attitude I can stand, and which I have came to love and accept. Coz underneath that annoyingness, you've been with me all the way through. And I thank you for that. Really. I can never forget the times you would rush to help me get my lunch for me when I am punished for not doing my work. And would never forget you teaching me how to take a chance, and dared to do things I would never have dreamed myself of doing. You shape me into much of who I am. My personality is very much formed to accomodate yours. We look like each other, according to some. When we sing, our voice complaments each other.

And you are the only one that I'm willing to fetch around ALL the time. Okay, this is as gay as it can gets, but whatever, that's what you get for being my best friend.

Today's Valentine's day, and it's not only about celebrating love, it is also about celebrating friendships and family ties. YY, thanks, for being there for me.
