Empty Promises

Life is laced with lies.

Promises are often meaningless words spoken with false commitment.

You think you know a person, you think you know what they're thinking, or doing. You thought things will turn out right.

But reality just keeps coming back and slapping your face, urging you to wake up and smell the stench around you.

I dunno what was going on in your head at that time, and I don't even know what is going on in my head right NOW.

Nevertheless, I hope that at the end of this seemingly endless tunnel, we will be able to recapture that much needed daylight to purge ourselves of all these darkness we have surrounded ourselves with.

I need enlightenment, and I need it quick. Someone show me the way?
